Hosting a truly memorable social event is effortless at the Biltmore in Los Angeles, where the unrivaled architecture and history make an impressive venue for any occasion.  Five extraordinary ballrooms can host between 150-750 guests for a banquet or up to 1000 for a reception.  With décor featuring gold coffered ceilings, original polished wood paneling, vintage chandeliers and unique design elements for flexible setups, plus the expertise of our on-site catering team, social events at the Biltmore have been the talk of the town since 1923.

Crystal Ballroom

Possibly the most famous meeting space in the hotel, the renowned Crystal Ballroom boasts a hand painted 30-foot ceiling, majestic balconies, magnificent Austrian crystal chandeliers, glittering mirrors, romantic wall sconces and lush drapery.  Hollywood legend declares this room “the home of Oscar,” as the Oscar statuette was rumored to have been drawn on a Biltmore napkin during the founding banquet of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, held in the ballroom in 1927.

Biltmore Bowl

Once the hottest dining room and nightclub in Los Angeles as the Sala d’Oro, and the site of eight Oscar ceremonies in the 1930s and ‘40s, today the large Biltmore Bowl blends period details and the hotel’s architectural integrity with state-of-the-art audio visual equipment, a pre-function foyer, curtained stage and long balcony perfect for lavish buffet setups.  Hold your event in the same room where luminaries like Clark Gable, Walt Disney and Spencer Tracy delivered their winning Academy Award speeches back in the days of Hollywood’s Golden Era.

Gold Room

Previously a dining room for the hotel elite, the stately Gold Room is built on two levels separated by a curving balustrade and tall columned arches, while the lower level serves as an intimate foyer, reception area or break area to complement the dining and dancing space of the upper tier.  The room features gold coffered ceilings, original wood-paneled walls and crystal chandeliers.

Tiffany Room

Connecting to the Crystal Ballroom, the intimate Tiffany Room makes an impressive space on its own or as a pre-function space for the Crystal Ballroom.  The room showcases beautiful vaulted wood ceilings, graceful colonnades and a hand-carved frieze depicting famous explorers tied to California’s history along the north wall.

Emerald Room

Hand-painted ceiling motifs of harvest and hunt reflect the origins of the Emerald Room, the hotel’s original dining room.  Rounded faux-travertine columns and weighty bronze and crystal chandeliers create a stately setting for banquets and receptions. 

Bernard's

Formerly a five-star venue for dinner and dancing, Bernard’s offers a unique multi-level space with sunken floor, rich wood paneling and its own direct kitchen access, creating the perfect atmosphere for an ultra-private reception, intimate banquet or tasting event.
